Wuzhishan Muse Lake

Introduction: Wuzhishan Muse Lake is located in the southwest of Tuncheng County, more than 20 kilometers from the county town. Covering an area of 28 square kilometers, it includes Muse Lake and Leigongtan Lake. Muse Lake boasts crystal-clear waters, surrounded by undulating green mountains, lush aquatic plants along the shore, and flocks of water birds. About a hundred meters away from Muse Lake lies Leigongtan Lake, with a waterfall between the two that resembles a white silk ribbon hanging among the green hills, cascading down year-round with a thunderous roar. To the east, west, and south, Leigongtan Lake is embraced by mountains, its surface shimmering, and the surrounding vegetation lush and green. Wild boars, rabbits, and foxes roam in groups; wild ducks paddle and play on the water, kingfishers spread their wings, and egrets forage. Eagles soar high, swallows skim the water’s surface; flocks of pheasants search for food, partridges call for mates — making it a natural wildlife paradise. The scenic area also features attractions such as the “Immortal’s Cave,” “Monkey’s Seat,” “Bronze Drum Rock,” and the Dongpo Stone inscribed with a poem by Su Dongpo.
