At the mountaintop of Meishan in Wufeng Township, not only do you get a vast, open view of the sky and land, but you can also stay in Mongolian-style yurt tents that offer a unique frontier vibe. The campsite is situated at an altitude of exactly 1,200 meters, surrounded by mountains and facing the sea, with Wuzhi Mountain right in front, and the endless coastlines of Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Miaoli lying behind it. The scenery changes beautifully with the seasons, including the lush greenery of spring, fireflies in summer, and snowy landscapes in winter.

The surroundings of Sankeng Ecological Park, free from industrial development and adjacent to the reservoir dam, boast picturesque lake and mountain views. The large green slope of grass by the pond gives off a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. In autumn, the Taiwanese flame trees add touches of soft red to the lush green environment, creating especially stunning scenery.

Houci Lake was originally a small lake where Chiang Kai-shek and his wife would take walks and go boating. Entering the park trail from the side gate of Ci Lake, crossing a small hill, the approximately 2-kilometer journey offers enchanting scenery along the way, including command posts, bunkers, controlled iron gates, and offices left over from the martial law period—definitely worth a visit.
