The Former Site of the Dongjiang Guerrilla Command is a cultural heritage site protected by Shenzhen Municipality and a classic destination on the red tourism route.

In the bustling downtown area of Dongmen Town in Luohu, Shenzhen, it’s hard to imagine there’s a quiet memorial closely tied to the city’s history — the Former Site of the Dongjiang Guerrilla Command. Located at No. 13 Nanqing Street, Luohu District, it is one of the branch museums of the Shenzhen Museum.

The memorial was originally the Hong An Hotel, built during the Republican era, with the building facing east and situated west. The highlight is the “General Ye Ting and Shenzhen” exhibition, divided into three sections: “A Northern Expedition Hero Fighting for the Nation,” “Taking Command in Shenzhen at a Critical Moment,” and “Persevering in Resistance with Far-Reaching Impact.” It includes over a hundred historical photos and several replicated historical relics, outlining General Ye Ting’s military career, his deep connection with Shenzhen during the War of Resistance, and the arduous resistance history of the Shenzhen area.
