Shenzhen People's Park

Shenzhen People's Park is located on Renmin North Road in Luohu District, Shenzhen. It borders Shenzhen Guesthouse to the south, extends to Renmin North Road to the east, reaches Sungang Overpass to the north, and lies just one street away from Buji River and Dongmen Shopping Street to the west. It is one of the earliest parks built in Shenzhen.

The park was established in 1983 and covers an area of over 130,000 square meters, with water bodies accounting for one-third of the total area. It is a municipal specialty floral park characterized by the appreciation, cultivation, and research of roses (commonly known as roses), and primarily serves the functions of quiet leisure and spiritual enrichment for local residents. Within the park, there is an observation hill where visitors can climb to enjoy panoramic views of the entire park as well as the urban cityscape. The park features interconnected landscapes, crisscrossing lakes, winding shorelines, and a rich variety of tropical plants that create an enchanting atmosphere.

The park includes various landscaped attractions such as the Shuyue Pavilion, Rose Palace, Rose Garden, Rose Promenade, Rose Square, Senior Citizens’ Square, Children’s Playground, and Fitness Area. The Shuyue Pavilion, situated at the highest point in the park, offers a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the entire park from its top floor. The park’s most distinctive feature is the central island Rose Garden, which houses hundreds of rose varieties from across China and is also one of the five major rose cultivation bases of the China Rose Association. With over 300 varieties and more than 50,000 rose plants, the garden is in full bloom from early December to the end of February each year, attracting numerous visitors who come to admire the vibrant sea of flowers.
