Shenzhen Huanggang Park
Huanggang Park is located on Yitian Road in Futian District, Shenzhen, covering an area of 17.3 hectares. The park was established in December 1996. In March 2009, it was awarded the title of Five-Star Park by the Municipal Urban Management Bureau. Major attractions include the West Gate Leisure Plaza area, featuring a sunken plaza, artificial rock formations, and scenic pavilions and corridors.
The park is situated on a hilly plateau, primarily combining wooded areas with lawns while preserving the natural landscape of the hills. The forest is lush, filled with birdsong and floral scents. The highest point of the hill is located in the southeastern part of the park, at an elevation of 52.8 meters, with two secondary peaks at 42.2 meters and 20.6 meters above sea level, respectively.
The park is planted with a large number of distinctive landscape tree species, mainly including Lagerstroemia speciosa, Lagerstroemia indica, Terminalia mantaly, Phoenix dactylifera, and Erythrina crista-galli. Through scientific arrangement and careful maintenance, while making full use of the plants’ natural forms and seasonal variations, these signature trees offer strong ornamental value as well as ecological and cultural appeal.
