Lixiang Park

Lixiang Park is an ever-changing green space in the heart of Nanshan, bordered by Shennan Avenue to the north, overlooking the Nanshan District Committee Building to the south, adjacent to Qilin Road to the east, and connected to the Sunshine Lijing residential complex to the west. The park covers a total area of 220,000 square meters. It is planted with a variety of flowers, plants, and trees: azaleas bloom vibrantly, heralding the spring blossoms. Among them, lychee trees—renowned fruits of Lingnan—are planted most abundantly, accounting for about one-third of the park’s area. They grow in neat rows and vast patches, creating a magnificent sight. Evergreen and lush throughout the year, the trees bear abundant red fruits in summer and autumn, filling the air with their fragrance far and wide—hence the park’s name, Lixiang (Fragrant Lychee).
