"Korean cherry blossoms" are simply mesmerizing. Every year around mid-March, cherry blossoms in South Korea start blooming from the southernmost part of Jeju Island, then gradually spread to Busan, South Gyeongsang Province, Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, and other areas. This time, the Fever Photo Travel Channel introduces the top 5 cherry blossom hotspots in Seoul, helping everyone capture the beautiful moments of "Korean cherry blossoms."
1. Yeouido Loop Road — Pangchincheon Area
The 1.7-kilometer-long Yeouido Cherry Blossom Path is lined with 1,400 cherry trees. Due to varying sunlight exposure, the blossoms can be enjoyed for up to two weeks. During the cherry blossom festival, there are various stalls and performances, creating a lively atmosphere. The night cherry blossoms illuminated by lights are equally enchanting.
2. Seoul Children’s Grand Park
This is one of the earliest spots in Seoul where cherry blossoms bloom. It's a park that "grown-ups" also love—admission is free, and it features many traditional-style buildings that pair beautifully with the brilliant cherry blossoms and spring flowers, making it perfect for photos. There's also a zoo and animal feeding area, suitable for all ages.
3. Namsan Park / N Seoul Tower
N N Seoul TowerLocated on Namsan Mountain in Seoul’s Yongsan District, N Seoul Tower is an iconic landmark. It’s recommended to first take the Namsan Cable Car to visit the tower, enjoy the panoramic view of Seoul and the love lock wall, then walk down along the pedestrian path by the road, where tall, dense cherry blossom trees come into full view. Those with more energy can hike up Namsan Park, which takes about 40 minutes.
4. Seoul National Cemetery
Seoul National Cemetery is one of the later spots in Seoul where cherry blossoms bloom. Upon entering, you’ll find a large rest garden that is serene and elegant—a popular leisure spot for locals on holidays. The cemetery is planted with many weeping cherry trees, whose graceful appearance is not to be missed. At the back is the burial ground for Korean war heroes, evoking a deep sense of reverence.
5. Anyangcheon Stream
This is another later-blooming cherry blossom spot in Seoul. There’s a quiet walking path lined with numerous cherry trees, adorned with many traditional Korean-style ornaments, making it great for photos. The other end of the path leads to the “Ogok Bridge” subway station, which connects to Hyundai Department Store.
