Shenzhen Guanyin Mountain Park

Shenzhen Guanyin Mountain Park is located in Dapeng, Longgang District. This Guanyin Mountain Park is not the Guanyinshan Forest Park in Zhangmutou, Dongguan. After entering from the parking lot, you’ll need to walk up an uphill path. Upon entering, you can see a statue of Guanyin, next to which there is spring water that is safe to drink directly. If you’re going on your own, remember to scoop up a bottle to drink — it’s said to be divine water. Behind the temple, you can climb up for a panoramic view of the entire Dapeng area, which takes about a 20-minute hike. On a clear day, the sea and sky blend into one, creating a delightful view.

Arriving in Dapeng, climb Guanyin Mountain, which faces Shenzhen’s second highest peak, Qiniang Mountain. Ascend to Longyan Ancient Temple, located halfway up Guanyin Mountain and boasting a history of over 500 years. Here, you can worship the Goddess Mother (Wangmu Niangniang). The name “Longyan” (Dragon Rock) comes from a huge rock on the temple roof, measuring over 20 meters in diameter. In front of this massive rock is a spring that has flowed continuously for centuries. Its sweet, cool water is a refreshing mountain spring that locals call “immortal water.” The ancient temple is nestled on the mountainside, shaded by flowers and trees, offering a serene and tranquil environment. Built against the mountain and rock, it boasts a uniquely natural setting. With a devout heart, pray, burn incense, worship Buddha, and pray for peace and safety.
