Nanshan Museum

Nanshan Museum is a large comprehensive state-owned museum, covering an area of approximately 19,000 square meters with a construction area of around 36,000 square meters. It is currently the largest single-structure museum in Shenzhen by floor space and also among the largest district (county)-level museums in China.

The museum has continuously enriched its collection through acquisitions, purchases, and allocations. By the end of 2017, it had amassed over 4,000 cultural relics of various types. Its permanent exhibition, "The Story of Nanshan," is divided into three sections: "Ancient Nanshan," "Modern Nanshan," and "The History of Nanshan’s Reform and Opening-Up."

Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–18:00 (last entry at 17:30), closed on Mondays (except for major national statutory holidays)
