Oyster Shell House (Jiang Clan Ancestral Hall)

Shajing’s Buzhong area is a settlement of the Jiang clan. The ancestors of the Jiang family migrated to the Shenzhen region during the Southern Song Dynasty, with a history spanning some eight to nine hundred years. The Jiang Clan Ancestral Hall is the main ancestral temple for the Jiangs in Buzhong. One of its distinctive features is the oyster shell gable wall, while the wood carvings on the beams of the central and rear halls are exceptionally exquisite. The dragon-and-cloud corbels, along with various auspicious motifs of animals, plants, and historical scenes, serve as valuable artifacts for the study of folk art, craftsmanship, customs, and cultural forms. Its unique architectural style holds significant importance for the research of ancient buildings in Shajing and even in Shenzhen.

Buzhong Community: In June and September 2004, Buzhong successively established the Shenzhen Shajing Buzhong Joint Stock Cooperative Company and the Shenzhen BULian Joint Stock Cooperative Company. Located in the northern part of Shajing Subdistrict, it borders Houting to the east, Gonghe to the west, Yabian to the south, and is traversed by the North Ring Road to the south. Xinhe Avenue runs from west to east, directly connecting to National Highway 107 and the Guangzhou–Shenzhen Expressway interchange. It serves as a central transportation artery spanning the entire Buzhong area. The jurisdiction covers an area of 3.0 square kilometers.
