Ancient Architectural Complex of Yanchuan Village: A cultural heritage site under the protection of Bao’an District, located in the Old Village of Yanchuan Community, Yansuo Subdistrict, Bao’an District. It includes ancient structures such as the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Xunchao Public Schoolhouse, Jiangeng Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Qiuting Public Schoolhouse, Xiangxi Zen Monastery, and residential buildings in the He’er Area. Among them are five ancestral hall buildings and approximately forty residential buildings. Originally built during the Ming Dynasty, most of the current structures were rebuilt in the mid-to-late Qing Dynasty. The complex features traditional Lingnan architectural styles, with brick-and-wood structures, exposed brick walls, wooden beams, flush gable roofs, and red-tiled surfaces. Ancillary relics preserved on the site, such as inscribed steles in the Xiangxi Zen Monastery, authentically document the rise and fall of the buildings, as well as temple properties and land holdings. These provide high historical value for the study of Bao’an District’s history, culture, economy, religion, and folklore during the Qing Dynasty. In March 1999, the Bao’an District People’s Government designated it as a cultural heritage site under district-level protection.

Yansuo Subdistrict: Established on December 26, 2016, Yansuo Subdistrict covers an area of 36.51 square kilometers, including about 20 square kilometers of mountainous, water, and green space, and 16.6 square kilometers of developed urban area. It governs five communities: Yanchuan, Luotian, Tangxiayong, Shanmen, and Hongqiaotou. There are ten community joint-stock cooperative companies (five transformed from former village committees and five from former villagers' groups). The subdistrict has a permanent population of approximately 270,000 and a registered population of 8,633.

Yansuo Subdistrict serves as the northwestern gateway to Shenzhen and is located at the geographic core of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It connects two cities and three districts, and is known as “... Yansuo Subdistrict detailed information++”
