Shenzhen Tiezai Mountain Park

Tiezai Mountain Park is located west of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway and north of Bao’an Avenue in Xixiang Subdistrict, Bao’an District, Shenzhen. Known as an “urban leisure oxygen bar” and a “fitness park for citizens,” the park covers a total area of 127 hectares.

The highest elevation of Tiezai Mountain Park is 204 meters, and the planned total investment for its second phase is 83 million yuan. Scenic spots such as the Glorious Stone Walls, Colorful Ridge Blossoms, Verdant Hidden Valley, and Ancient Chinese Heritage offer visitors the best vantage points, with views of the sea to the southwest and the new look of Bao’an Central District to the southeast. The park’s planning includes six public restrooms, 286 parking spaces, and ten entrances and exits.

In 1999, due to the construction of the Xixiang Overpass, rescue excavations were carried out at the ancient tombs of Tiezai Mountain. A large number of Eastern Jin Dynasty tombs were discovered, which are not only rare in Shenzhen but also uncommon across South China. Tiezai Mountain currently has nearly 100 tombs from the Eastern Jin, Northern and Southern Dynasties, and the Song and Ming Dynasties, ranging from large to small. In terms of structure, these include brick, stone, tile, and earthen pit tombs. Archaeological experts believe that the scale and density of this ancient tomb cluster are quite spectacular on a national level.
