Zeng Yaotian Residence is a cultural heritage site protected by Bao’an District.

Zeng Yaotian Residence: A cultural heritage site under the protection of Bao’an District, located at No. 149 Xinsha Road, Shangxing Community, Xinqiao Subdistrict, Bao’an District. It is a building from the Republican era. Constructed with concrete and facing west, the three-story structure covers a floor area of 195.6 square meters. The exterior exhibits a strong European style, while the interior follows a traditional residential layout. The third floor features a Roman-style cantilevered arcade, and a dome-topped pavilion stands on the large rooftop terrace. At the center is an inner courtyard-style atrium, with rooms arranged along the perimeter of the courtyard—three rooms on each side. The entrance is located on the west side of the first floor, and there are no external windows on the ground floor, giving the building strong defensive characteristics. In November 2003, it was designated as a cultural heritage site under the protection of Bao’an District People’s Government.

Xinqiao Subdistrict: Xinqiao Subdistrict is located in the eastern part of the former Shajing Subdistrict. It borders Guangming New District to the east, Fuyong Subdistrict to the south, Shajing Subdistrict to the west, and Songgang Subdistrict to the north. The total area of the jurisdiction is 28 square kilometers, with a built-up area of 21 square kilometers. The total population is 462,000, including 13,000 registered residents.
