The Former Site of Bao’an County Government is a cultural heritage site protected by Bao’an District.

Former Site of Bao’an County Government: A cultural heritage site under the protection of Bao’an District, located at No. 1 BaoMin 1st Road, Xin’an Subdistrict, Bao’an District. Originally built in the 1980s. It consists of the Bao’an County Government Building, the Bao’an County Party Committee Building, a canteen, and a garden. The Bao’an County Government Building was completed in July 1983, facing southeast from the northwest. The structure has a rectangular floor plan, is built with a brick-concrete structure, and has six floors. The Bao’an County Party Committee Building was completed in October 1987. It faces southwest from the northeast and has a “工” (work) character-shaped floor plan, also built with a brick-concrete structure. After the county was abolished and the district was established in 1992, it became the site of the Bao’an District Committee and District Government. In September 2010, it was designated as a cultural heritage site of Bao’an District by the Bao’an District People’s Government.

Xin’an Subdistrict: The name “Xin’an” originates from the first year of the Wanli era during the Ming Dynasty (1573), when Bao’an County was renamed Xin’an County, reflecting the meaning of “renewing the old and establishing the new, turning crisis into safety.” In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), due to the naming conflict with Xin’an County in Henan Province, it reverted to being called Bao’an County. In March 1979, Bao’an County was changed to Shenzhen City. In October 1981, when Bao’an County was re-established, Xin’an Town was set up as the county seat. In December 1992, Bao’an County was abolished and the district was established. On January 15, 1994, Xin’an Town was abolished and Xin’an Subdistrict Office was established.
