The New Joint Inspection Building of the Erenhot Highway Port is located at the northernmost end of Qianjin Road, covering an area of 343,000 square meters. It has a maximum cargo throughput of 2.4 million tons per year and a passenger throughput of 3 million per year. Facilities include the joint inspection building, the customs special inspection area cargo inspection building, the freight customs declaration building, the border inspection barracks, and supporting port supervision facilities. The new joint inspection area is equipped with eight lanes—four for entry and four for exit. The north exit connects to the Mongolian border, while the south exit links to National Highway 208 via the urban area. This area integrates customs clearance, inspection, warehousing, transportation, and living services, allowing for the one-stop completion of customs declaration, inspection, and tax payment procedures.
