Tomb of Huang Sun

The Tomb of Huang Sun is a cultural relic protection unit of Liannan County.

The Tomb of Huang Sun is located in Sanjiang Town, Liannan County. The tomb has an earthen mound, faces east with its back to the west, and features a stele in front that stands 1.5 meters tall and 0.7 meters wide. The inscription on the stele reads: “Tomb of the Venerable Deceased Father Huang, styled Yizhi, Honored Ancestral Founder of the Glorious Xiangtang Hall of the Jiangxia Clan, Imperial Jinshi Degree conferred by the Liang Dynasty, Left Vice Minister of the Ministry of Rites of the Southern Han Dynasty, Worshipped as a Wise and Virtuous Forebear.” Huang Sun was a native of Lianzhou, styled Yizhi. He passed the imperial examination and obtained the Jinshi degree in the second year of the Longde era (922) of the Later Liang. Later, he returned to Guangzhou and was consulted on state affairs, eventually rising to the position of Left Vice Minister of the Ministry of Rites in the Southern Han Dynasty. He authored the *Collected Works of Xiangtang Hall*.

In 1986, the People's Government of Liannan County designated it as a cultural relic protection unit.
