Xueyan Temple

Xueyan Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Guangdong Province.

Xueyan Temple belongs to the category of grotto temple rock carvings. It is located at the base of the eastern side of Hailuo Peak, 1.5 kilometers southwest of Yaotang Village, Huangwu Village Committee, Danxia Subdistrict, Renhua County (within the Danxia Mountain Scenic Area), facing southeast and situated northwest. The temple measures 10.3 meters in width, 7.8 meters in depth, and 5 meters in height, covering an area of 92 square meters.

Huangwu Village: Huangwu Village is located in the core area of Danxia Mountain, a UNESCO Global Geopark. It comprises 11 villager groups: Buguling Group, Xiewu Group, Shuangheshui Group, Huangwu Group, Huangwuba Group, Xin’anba Group, Laomawu Group, Xinmawu Group, Qinghutang Group, Yaotang Group, and Duanshi Group. The village has a total of 638 households and a population of 2,682. The cultivated land area is 3,488 mu, and the forested area spans 18,000 mu. In 2014, the per capita rural income was 10,035 yuan.
