Hongshan Gaoping Nature Reserve

The provincial-level Hongshan Gaoping Nature Reserve is located in Hongshan Town, Renhua County. Its primary conservation targets are secondary evergreen broad-leaved forests and rare flora and fauna, especially the South China tiger, yellow-bellied tragopan, and white-necked long-tailed pheasant.

The Hongshan Gaoping Nature Reserve encompasses 50,000 acres of pristine forest, with dense woodlands and fresh air. Within the reserve lies the 124-square-kilometer Gaoping Reservoir, dotted with over ten islands of various sizes and shapes, truly creating a scene where "mountain hues and lake reflections blend, vying in vibrant shades of blue." Approximately 200 meters from the reservoir dam, there is a hot spring. With high water temperature and abundant flow, the spring contains minerals such as calcium carbonate and alkali, making it highly effective for treating skin diseases. Nestled between the reservoir dam above and a hundred-meter-deep abyss below, the hot spring enjoys a tranquil setting and picturesque scenery.
