Siyi Hall

Siyi Hall. Located in Angang Village, Dongtang Town, this Qing Dynasty courtyard-style building was the birthplace of the Renhua peasant movement during the Great Revolution. It served as the headquarters of the Executive Committee of the Angang Township Peasant Association. In 1928, it was the birthplace and base of the first Renhua County Committee, the Angang Branch Committee, the Angang Township Soviet Government, and the Guangdong Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Committee, functioning as the command center for the county’s land revolution struggle. It was fully restored in 2000 and underwent a second comprehensive renovation in 2006.

Established as the Dongtang Town People's Commune in 1979, it was renamed Dongtang Town in 1983. It borders Renhua Town to the east, Hongshan Town to the north, Lechang City to the west, and Qujiang District to the south, covering a total area of 192.8 square kilometers, including 29,500 mu of arable land.
