Shengli Village Pagoda

Shengli Village Pagoda is a cultural relics protection unit of Guangdong Province.

Longchuan New Pagoda, also known as Shengli Village Pagoda, is located in Shengli Village, Tuocheng Town, Longchuan County, Heyuan City, standing atop a small hillside. It is a provincial-level key cultural relics protection unit.

Longchuan New Pagoda was built in the second year of the Tianqi era of the Ming Dynasty (1622). It is an octagonal seven-story pavilion-style structure made of blue bricks, with double eaves on each level and a pagoda gate on each floor. One side of the base of the pagoda has a large hole, possibly caused by collapse. The interior of the pagoda has two levels: the inner layer is a hollow straight cylinder, which may have originally had wooden structures—the top still shows some remaining wooden materials, now precarious; between the outer and inner layers, there is a spiral brick staircase that leads to the top of the pagoda, although it is badly damaged.

Longchuan New Pagoda has been successively designated as a county and municipal-level cultural relics protection unit.

In 2015, Heyuan Longchuan New Pagoda was listed as part of the eighth batch of Guangdong Provincial Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
