Former Revolutionary Site of Yangtiantang
The former revolutionary site of Yangtiantang is situated in Jinlong Village, Shangping Town, Longchuan County. In 1927, local youths Lu Zhentai and Huang Liangyong from Yangtiantang joined the Xunwu Red Guards via the introduction of Liu Changming from Qinghua Village, taking part in underground organizational activities. By 1928, under the efforts of Liu, Lu, and Huang, more than ten individuals including Lu Chengliang, Lu Chengjin, Lu Jianquan, Huang Guanren, Huang Shuixian, Huang Chuan'gao, Huang Liangyong, Lu Yutai, Lu Xinquan, and Huang Tingqian had joined these clandestine operations. Together with Yi Xiran from Huangbei in Xunwu, Huang Yufa from Jilongzhang, Hu Anxian and Hu Quanzhou from Liushé, they carried out revolutionary activities along the Xun-Long border. By autumn 1930, Yangtiantang had successively established a peasant association, an underground guerrilla unit, and a party cell, gradually developing into a key secret communication hub for underground activities along the Longchuan-Xunwu border.
As a secret underground communication hub, Yangtiantang actively engaged in various revolutionary activities during the Agrarian Revolutionary War, transmitting crucial revolutionary intelligence for the Guangdong-Jiangxi Soviet Area. According to local accounts and historical records, between January and February 1929, Mao Zedong visited Yangtiantang to guide revolutionary work. During the agrarian revolution period, the site also hosted prominent revolutionary figures such as Peng Dehuai, Gu Bo, Zeng Biyi, and Luo Pinghan, while supplying significant amounts of military necessities—such as salt, kerosene ("fire water"), and medicines—to the heartland of the Central Soviet Area.
