Ye Bu Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument

The Ye Bu Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument is located on a hillside in Ye Bu Village, Tuocheng Town, Longchuan County.

Built in 1956, the monument faces southwest and sits on a northeast-oriented square base that is 0.45 meters high with side lengths of 2.5 meters. On top of the base stands the main stone tablet. The monument is constructed from bricks and covered with a cement finish. It has the shape of a four-sided prism, wider at the base and narrowing toward the top, topped with a pointed spire. The structure stands approximately 5 meters tall. The upper part of the front face features the seven gray-plastered Chinese characters “革命烈士纪念碑” (Revolutionary Martyrs’ Monument) in regular script, while the lower part bears the engraved names of revolutionary martyrs including Huang Ke, Tao Zhiming, Wang Wen, Chen Rutao, and Luo Gao. The back of the monument is inscribed with the biographies of the martyrs, commemorating those who sacrificed their lives gloriously during the Great Revolution and the Liberation War. In front of the monument, there are twenty steps made of cement. The entire site covers an area of 1,000 square meters.

Ye Bu Village is a veteran revolutionary base in Longchuan County. As early as 1928, Chinese Communist Party members such as Huang Ke and Huang Juequn established the Longchuan County Revolutionary Committee in the village. They consolidated the revolutionary forces from Sijia, Pingtian, Heshi, Tongqu, Dengyun, and Huangbu into the “Dongjiang Workers’ and Peasants’ Revolutionary Army,” launching struggles for land revolution.
