Maoxue Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument

The Maoxue Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument is located on Nanyue Mountain in Maoxue Village, Tiechang Town, Longchuan County.

Built in 2002, it faces northeast from the southwest. The monument is square obelisk-shaped with three tiers, constructed from blue bricks and finished with cement mortar, reaching a total height of about 8 meters. The base is 1.3 meters per side and 0.35 meters high. The second tier is 1 meter per side and 1.4 meters high. Its front features an inscribed stone tablet created and installed in the winter of 2005 by the TIEchang Town Committee of the CPC and the People’s Government of TIEchang Town, while the right side displays the Roll of Honor of Revolutionary Martyrs of TIEchang. The third tier of the monument is also square obelisk-shaped, with the words “Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument” engraved in relief on the front, and a red five-pointed star embedded at the top. In front of the monument is a 110-square-meter cement plaza, which has a nine-step staircase leading up to it, and a cement slope at the back provides support.

During the Anti-Japanese War, the CPC established grassroots organizations in TIEchang and set up 11 secret liaison points successively. During the Liberation War, the CPC formed a people's armed force called the TIEqun Squad with over 90 members in Maoxue, carrying out guerrilla warfare.

Provincial Highway 228 connects the town center to National Highway 205 in Xingning and Wuhua. All villages have road access and telephone service.
