The Armory of the Soviet Government of the Wuxinglong County

The former site of the armory of the Soviet Government of the Wuxinglong (Wuhua-Xingning-Longchuan) County is located in Datangdu Village, Huilong Town, Longchuan County.

The original site was an iron workshop, measuring 8 meters in width with a construction area of 64 square meters. It faces west and was built during the Qing Dynasty, featuring lime-sand rammed wall foundations, earthen brick walls, a gray tiled roof, and a dirt floor. Inside, there is a king post roof truss, and a small room is located in the southwest corner. In the spring of 1929, the Soviet Governments of Wuhua, Xingning, and Longchuan Counties in the Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi Border Region were established in Datangdu, and to meet the needs of the revolutionary struggle, the Soviet Government set up an armory in this iron workshop to repair and manufacture firearms and other weapons.

From the 1950s to the present, this former site has been used by local villagers as an oil mill.
