Tangbawu – The Site of the First Peasant Association in Longchuan is located at Tangbawu, Oujiang Village, Huangbu Town, Longchuan County.

On July 3, 1924, the first Guangzhou Peasant Movement Training Institute opened, and Huang Chaofan from Huangbu, Longchuan, attended the institute. After graduation, he was appointed as a special envoy of the Nationalist Party Central Peasant Department and was later sent back to his hometown by the organization to carry out the peasant movement. In September of the same year, Huang Chaofan established the first peasant association organization in Longchuan at Tangbawu, Oujiang, his hometown, pioneering the peasant movement in the area. Since the association was based at Tangbawu, it came to be known as the “Tangbawu Peasant Association.” Huang Chaofan served as the president, and was later succeeded by Huang Bolong.

Influenced by the Tangbawu Peasant Association, peasant associations in other parts of Longchuan County developed rapidly, greatly promoting the vigorous growth of the peasant movement across the county.
