Boluo Sifang Mountain

Sifang Mountain is an extension of Luofu Mountain and forms the core of the planned but undeveloped northwest section of Luofu Mountain in Huizhou, Guangdong. It is located within Changning Town, Boluo County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. It lies 67 km east of Huizhou and 99 km west of Guangzhou, and is one of China’s top ten famous Taoist mountains. The historian Sima Qian once compared Luofu Mountain to the “Yue Yue” (Guangdong’s paramount peak), which is why Luofu Mountain is also known as the “Number One Mountain of Lingnan.”

Luofu Mountain is situated on the Tropic of Cancer and enjoys a subtropical climate, characterized by warm winters and cool summers, making the weather pleasant year-round — it is an ideal destination for travel in all seasons and a well-known summer retreat. The main peak, Feiyun Summit, stands at an elevation of 1,296 meters. Its summit is round, flat, lush with vegetation, and often enveloped in clouds and mist. The sunrise here can rival that of Mount Tai. This hiking route traverses the undeveloped rear section of Luofu Mountain, so it is relatively unknown and sees very few visitors, resulting in exceptionally well-preserved natural scenery. The landscape along the trail is serene, quiet, and beautiful, with lush greenery everywhere — it could rightly be called a “natural forest oxygen bar” for cleansing the lungs. Along the way, you’ll pass through spiritually invigorating waterfalls, streams, wildflowers, forests, temples, bamboo groves, azaleas, grasslands, and unusual rocks. From time to time, cool breezes, thick mists, and drifting clouds envelope you, creating a mystical atmosphere — absolutely refreshing. Female hikers can take the cable car back down for a relaxing view of Sifang Mountain’s scenery.
