Yihé Ancient Theater Stage

The Yihé Ancient Theater Stage is a cultural heritage site protected by Bóluó County.

The Bóluó Ancient Theater Stage, also known as the theater shed, is located within Tiānshàngyuán Primary School in Yìhé Township, Bóluó County. The stage is about 30 meters away from the mountain, where audiences used to sit around the hillside to watch performances. Built during the Qing Dynasty, it is the only ancient theater stage preserved in Bóluó County.

The stage is elevated 1.5 meters above the ground, is 11.25 meters wide, features a hanging gable roof, and is covered with lime-sand tiles. It is one bay wide, measuring 5.25 meters, and 5.8 meters deep, covering an area of 65.25 square meters. The wall has two round-arched doorways, each 2 meters high and 0.95 meters wide. Between the two doors is a rectangular window, 2.1 meters long and 1.5 meters wide, both decorated with a grid pattern. The dressing room is accessed through the archways and is 5.2 meters deep, with an area of 58 square meters.

In 1985, it was designated as a cultural heritage site by the People’s Government of Bóluó County.
