Guangdong Aerospace Agriculture Science and Technology Eco-Park

The Guangdong Aerospace Agriculture Science and Technology Eco-Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Situated in Xiacun Farm, Huzhen Town, Boluo County, the Guangdong Aerospace Agriculture Science and Technology Eco-Park is 15 kilometers from the county seat and 10 kilometers from the Luofu Mountain Scenic Area. Divided into north and south zones by the Central Corridor, it enjoys a notably superior traffic and geographic position. Based on the current agricultural production and ecological environment, guided by the goals of boosting agricultural productivity, increasing farmers' income, and aligning with future tourism market trends, and themed around "technology, ecology, and leisure," the park focuses on aerospace agricultural technology and eco-leisure sightseeing agriculture. It has gradually developed into a comprehensive modern agricultural demonstration zone integrating agricultural research, demonstration and promotion, science education, tourism, processing and sales of specialty agricultural products. With support from leaders at all levels, the site has been honored as a “National AAA-level Tourist Attraction,” a “National Demonstration Site for Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism,” among other titles.

In the surrounding area of the demonstration site, there are 8 agritainment businesses and 3 large fruit and vegetable picking gardens, which have helped approximately 120 local households achieve prosperity. Currently, the site covers a total of 3,650 acres of land, including high-quality fruit bases, fish ponds, paddy fields, as well as other crops, roads, and rivers. Divided into north and south sections by the Central Corridor, the southern zone mainly consists of mountainous areas and fish ponds. Our current location is the North Production Demonstration Area, spanning 500 acres. This area includes multiple demonstration sites, dining facilities, fruit and vegetable picking gardens, and more. The park has earned several accolades, including County-Level Aerospace Agriculture Experimental Demonstration Base, “National Plant Space Breeding Engineering Technology Research Center” Boluo Achievement Transformation and Demonstration Base, National Youth Agricultural Science Popularization Demonstration Base, National Demonstration Site for Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism, and National AAA-level Tourist Attraction.

Since the establishment of the Aerospace Breeding Base in 2004, over 3,000 aerospace and improved crop varieties—including super rice, Aerospace Xinhui Zhan rice, Huahang 31 rice, Aerospace Futian choi sum, small cucumbers, sweet peppers, eggplants, and Suilao greens—have been promoted across a cumulative area of 350,000 acres, with nearly 300,000 people trained. In August 2011, the Boluo County Command for Establishing a National-Level Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Demonstration Park was formed.

Xiacun Village: Xiacun Village is under the jurisdiction of Huzhen Town, Boluo County, Huizhou City. Huzhen Town is located in the central part of Boluo County, enjoying a superior location and convenient transportation. The Shahe River section of Huzhen surrounds the town, while National Highway S244 (Guangmei Highway) and the Yue-Xiang Expressway run through it, making it an important part of the county’s political, economic, and cultural center.

Xiacun Village has a total of 100 households, with a permanent population of 451. The village covers a total land area of approximately 2.4 square kilometers, with an annual gross production value of about 1.45 million yuan, a net income of 100,000 yuan, and a per capita income of 7,011 yuan.
