Tomb of Princess Duansheng of the Heshuo Commandery

The Tomb of Princess Duansheng of the Heshuo Commandery is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Princess Duansheng of the Heshuo Commandery was the fifth daughter of Emperor Kangxi. In 1692, she married Galdan, the prince consort of the Kalasin Commandery, and passed away in 1710 at the age of 37.

The tomb complex of Princess Duansheng of the Heshuo Commandery covers an area of over ten acres and is enclosed by a stone wall approximately ten feet high. It is divided into front and rear courtyards. The front courtyard has three rooms for gatekeepers, three main halls, seven rooms on each of the east and west sides, and small gates on both sides that lead to the rear courtyard. The rear courtyard contains seven halls, behind which stands a circular brick-and-stone tomb structure about two meters high, built atop a square platform. The tomb is encircled by carved stone railings, and beneath the stone steps in front of the tomb lies a rectangular stone offering table.

Today, only a stone memorial archway, a pair of ornamental columns, and a stone stele remain at the tomb of Princess Duansheng of the Heshuo Commandery, but the scenery remains spectacular. It is one of the key cultural relics protection units of the Kalasin Banner.
