The Ancestral Temple of Duke Wang Wenyu is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangdong Province.

This ancestral temple is located in the ancient Wangwu Village of Yonghan Town, Yonghan County. It features a four-courtyard, four-entry layout: the first entry is the main gate, the second is the "Shide Hall," the third is the "Fushou Hua Hall," and the fourth is the "Ancestral Hall."

According to the village genealogy, around the late Yuan Dynasty, a man named Wang Wenyu relocated from Tangcun in Zengcheng, Guangdong, to Yonghan Town, Longmen County, in order to expand his lineage. He chose a plain south of Yonghan Town, on the west bank of the Yonghan River, where he settled and became the founding ancestor of what is now Wangwu Village.

By the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, the descendants of Wang Wenyu had spent eighteen years constructing landmark buildings such as the Ancestral Temple of Duke Wang Wenyu and the Lingyun Pavilion, gradually forming an organized settlement.

After approximately 750 years of growth and development, the descendants of the Wang family have reached the 25th generation. The village has become the largest in Yonghan, with over 200 well-preserved ancient Qing Dynasty houses that have stood for nearly 400 years.

On December 10, 2015, the Ancestral Temple of Duke Wang Wenyu was approved and announced by the People's Government of Guangdong Province as part of the eighth batch of Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Units.
