Hui Long Lou

Hui Long Lou is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangdong Province.

Qiuchang Town is a settlement of the Hakka people, where many areas still retain traditional Hakka architecture and lifestyles. The town boasts rich Hakka cultural resources centered around Hakka enclosed houses (weilongwu), with over 100 various types of weilongwu in the town today, more than 30 of which are relatively large and well-preserved. They represent a precious part of Hakka traditional cultural heritage. Among them, Hui Long Lou, located in Guanshan Village, was built in 1888 and served as the former site of the Dongjiang Revolutionary School. It is one of the better-preserved Hakka weilongwu in the Dongjiang region. Biyan Lou in Zhoutian Village was funded by Ye Yalai, known as the "giant who opened up Kuala Lumpur," and built during the Guangxu period. Scattered around the former residence of Ye Ting are several Hakka enclosed houses such as Huixin Lou, Huiyuan Lou, and Ruishi Wei. Each has its unique features, integrating Hakka history, folklore, customs, architecture, culture, and notable figures, forming a themed tourist area focused on Hakka culture.

In 2010, it was designated as part of the Sixth Batch of Cultural Relic Protection Units by the People's Government of Guangdong Province.

Qiuchang Subdistrict: Located in the central-southern part of Huiyang, Qiuchang Subdistrict borders Danshui Subdistrict to the southeast, and connects with Pingshan, Kengzi, and Longtian Subdistricts of Shenzhen to the southwest. The subdistrict enjoys a prominent geographical location and superior transportation links, with roads such as S358, X225, Huinan Avenue, and Huiyang Ring Road crisscrossing the area.
