Daya Bay Mangrove Urban Wetland Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Located in the central area of Daya Bay at the mouth of the Tan’ao River, Daya Bay Mangrove Urban Wetland Park is an estuarine wetland where freshwater meets seawater, preserving a lush mangrove community. Covering a total area of approximately 176 hectares, the park is dedicated to creating a tourism spatial layout of “one core, two wings, three zones, and ten scenic spots.” It is designed as an ecological park featuring typical Lingnan wetland traits, highlighted by estuarine mangrove landscapes, and serving key functions such as ecological conservation, sightseeing, leisure fitness, and science education. The development of Daya Bay Mangrove Urban Wetland Park will interconnect with Tiger Head Mountain Park and the existing Mangrove Park, generating green ecological benefits and forming a future urban “green lung” for Daya Bay.

Since its opening in 2010, the park’s services and facilities have been continuously improved, making it highly popular among residents and tourists. Leveraging the estuarine mangrove wetland as its landscape highlight, the park is committed to establishing a tourism spatial layout comprising “one core, two wings, and three zones.” The “one core” refers to the Jade Green Heart, the “two wings” are the wetland ecological wing west of Zhongxing Bridge and the urban leisure wing east of Zhongxing Bridge, while the “three zones” consist of the Central Wetland Science Education Area, Tiger Head Mountain Sports and Leisure Area, and Cultural Leisure Experience Area. It is a comprehensive ecological park integrating ecological conservation, sightseeing, leisure fitness, and cultural science education.

“One Core”: The Central Wetland, which serves as the park’s core area.

“Two Wings”: The Urban Vitality Wing — located west of Zhongxing Middle Road, showcasing local cultural features and meeting the daily leisure and activity needs of urban residents; the Wetland Ecological Wing — located east of Zhongxing Middle Road, utilizing existing conditions to highlight the beautiful mangrove ecological environment.
