With its enchanting coastline and mesmerizing sandy beaches, Xiayong’s Panda Golden Coast is known as the “Hawaii of Daya Bay.” The beach stretches 1,800 meters along the shore—long, soft, and pristine—with clear waters, minimal silt, gentle waves, and very few impurities in the sand. Both the beach and the sea are exceptionally clean, and the gently sloping, expansive shoreline is perfect for all kinds of vacation activities.

Inside the Golden Coast lies a well-known island—Tiger Island. Its most unique feature is that during high tide, it becomes a solitary islet in the sea, but when the tide recedes, a white pathway emerges, connecting Tiger Island to the Panda Golden Coast. Visitors can walk along this white path to reach the island and gaze out at the vast, majestic sea.

Along the coast runs a greenway. The Huizhou Daya Bay Greenway is part of Provincial Greenway No. 2 and connects with the Paiya Mountain Greenway in Shenzhen. It runs eastward along the coast, stretching from Daya Bay all the way to Xunliao Tourist Area in Huidong, covering a total length of 59.6 kilometers. Of this, the provincial greenway section is 41 kilometers long, with a total investment of approximately 180 million yuan. The entire route includes 2 regional-level service areas, 3 community-level service areas, 6 development nodes, 12 points of interest, and 13 scenic nodes. From the Paiya Mountain and Dapeng Fortress in eastern Shenzhen to the Bangang area, and then to Huizhou’s Daya Bay, the route offers endless beautiful scenery and utilizes nearly 20 kilometers of coastal shoreline. The western section of the greenway connects with Shenzhen, running along the foot of Bijia Mountain, backed by hills and facing the sea, where water and sky blend into one. The middle section passes through the central urban area, linking together urban parks and green spaces such as Hutou Mountain Park, Mangrove Park, Central Park, Luoling Park, Binhai Park, Fishermen’s Wharf, and Three Trees Park, offering a full view of the central district’s landscaped beauty. The eastern section runs through the picturesque Xiayong seaside tourist area, where visitors can enjoy the forested scenery of Wushantou Hill, gaze out at the sea, admire the vast blue waters, and take a stroll along the golden sandy beach.
