The Hidden Plum Garden, officially known as Huizhou Hidden Plum Garden Ecotourism Resort, is developed by Huizhou Meiyuan Ecotourism Development Co., Ltd. and falls within the Jinqi Nature Reserve. It is located in Jinqi Village, Shatian Town, Huiyang District, adjacent to Daya Bay to the south and bordering Pinglong Highway to the north, just about an hour’s drive from downtown Huizhou.

The garden is divided into eight functional areas, most of which are operated through rural-style activities. The Hidden Plum Garden cultivates a large amount of organic vegetables available for purchase by visitors, making it a rare pristine nature reserve in Guangdong and the province’s first ecologically preserved mountain-water tourism area. It is also known as the “Little Jiuzhaigou of Southern Guangdong.”

The garden is also home to many small animals, and most notably, numerous plum trees that are especially striking during the plum blossom season.

Jinqi Village: Jinqi Village is a municipal-level nature reserve with beautiful ecological surroundings and abundant natural resources. Located in the southeastern part of Shatian Town, it borders Xiayong Town of Daya Bay to the south, is surrounded by mountains on all sides, and lies at the northern foot of Shatian Reservoir. It is classified as a veteran revolutionary base area. The village administers 8 villager groups, with a total of 335 households and a population of 1,250. The cultivated land area spans 2,300 mu, including 1,500 mu of paddy fields and 800 mu of dry land.
