Former Site of the Huiyang Peasants' Association

The Former Site of the Huiyang Peasants' Association is a cultural relic protection unit of Huizhou City.

The Former Site of the Huiyang Peasants' Association is located at No. 13 Dushi Lane in downtown Huizhou City. The site was originally a residence of the He family, featuring a traditional three-courtyard layout built during the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty.

By the end of 1925, the National Revolutionary Army had cleared out reactionary forces in the Dongjiang region. The Nationalist Government appointed Zhou Enlai as the Administrative Commissioner for the Dongjiang Regions, responsible for the administrative leadership of the three areas of Hui, Chao, and Mei. The labor and peasant movements across Dongjiang flourished. Under the direct guidance of the Provincial Peasants' Association, the Huiyang County Peasants' Association was established on November 16, 1925, with Zhu Guanxi as the Chairman, Dai Yunzhao as Vice-Chairman, He Cong as Secretary, and Lin Xi, Huang Xingnan, Yu Zigang, He You, and others as executive members. This site served as their meeting place. Soon after, various trade unions in Huizhou were also established one after another. In the spring of 1926, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Guangdong Provincial Peasants' Association set up an office in Huizhou, which was also located here.

In 1978, the Huizhou Municipal People's Government designated it as a cultural relic protection unit.
