Pingyuan Shilong Fort

Shilong Fort stands at an elevation of 333.8 meters and gets its name from its winding, undulating mountain ridges that resemble a dragon entering the land. The hill is equipped with an observation pavilion, parking lot, walking trails, and more. Towering trees provide ample shade, while birds sing melodiously. Though located in a bustling corner of the county town, the site remains ethereal, serene, and breathtakingly beautiful. At the summit lies a watchtower built a century ago, where, to the west, you can gaze upon the "World’s No. 1 Natural Grand Buddha" in its entirety, and look down over Pingcheng to take in the new look of the county town in a single sweeping view.
