Wofoshan Cultural Tourism Industrial Park is located in Pingyuan County, Meizhou City, at the junction of Guangdong, Jiangxi, and Fujian provinces. Covering a planned area of 4 square kilometers with a total investment of 2 billion yuan, it leverages the unique natural landscape of the “World’s Largest Natural Buddha” to develop a cultural tourism park integrating functions such as pilgrimage sightseeing, leisure vacation, sports wellness, and ecological conservation. The entire tourism park consists of four main sections: the Ecological Sightseeing Tourism Area, the Pilgrimage Wellness Area, the Hakka Culture & Business Tourism Area, and the Leisure Sports & Vacation Area. It mainly includes attractions such as Nantai Mountain National Forest Park, Chengmin Park, Shilongzhai, Dahebei, the Hot Spring Resort, the Business Tourism Scenic Area, and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture & Wellness Base. Among these, Nantai Mountain National Forest Park, Chengmin Park, Shilongzhai Scenic Area, the Hot Spring Resort, and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture & Wellness Base have already taken initial shape. Guangdong Pingyuan Nantai Wofoshan Cultural Tourism Industrial Park is a key attraction of the “China’s Best Cultural Eco-Tourism Destination” and “China’s Best Cultural Leisure Tourism County.” It is also a major project under the “Hakka Culture Eco-Tourism Demonstration Zone” jointly established by the Meizhou Municipal People’s Government and the Guangdong Provincial Tourism Bureau, a key provincial project designated by the Guangdong Development and Reform Commission for 2011, a priority project in the development of Meizhou’s tourism industry, and one of the top ten key projects of the Pingyuan County People’s Government for 2011.
