The former residence of Huang Meixing is a Meizhou Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

The former residence of Huang Meixing is located in Dongshi Town, Pingyuan County. Dating back to the Republican era, it is considered an important modern historical site and representative architecture.

On March 24, 2017, the Meizhou Municipal People’s Government designated the former residence of Huang Meixing as part of the fifth batch of Meizhou Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Units.

Dongshi Town: Dongshi Town is situated in the central part of Pingyuan County, at 115°05'4" east longitude and 24°02'5" north latitude. It borders Jiaoling County of Guangdong Province and Sishui Town of the same county to the east, connects with Hetou Town to the west, and adjoins Batou Town and Rezhe Town to the south, while lying against Renju Town and Shangju Town to the north. It is 14 kilometers away from the county seat. In September 2003, Pingyuan County adjusted its township administrative divisions, merging former Maoping Town into Dongshi Town. The town covers a total area of 159.7 square kilometers, comprising 18 village committees and 1 neighborhood committee, with 223 villager groups.
