Attraction Introduction

Situated in the Xin Tang area of Sanjiao Town, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, Jianying Park covers an area of 439,995.6 square meters, making it the largest park in Meizhou to date. Construction began in 1986 and the park has now been largely completed. The entrance gatehouse was funded by Mr. Liu Yuxin, Vice President of the Hong Kong Meizhou Chamber of Commerce, who donated 150,000 yuan. The four characters “Jianying Park” on the gate were inscribed by Liu Fuzhi, a native of the town, who served as Minister of Public Security and Procurator-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China.

On a small hill within Jianying Park stands a Monument to Revolutionary Martyrs, erected on March 29, 1992, by the Meixian County Government to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives in various revolutionary movements. The park also features a large recreational lake spanning over 266,664 square meters, equipped with various pleasure boats and water amusement facilities, along with rockeries, pavilions, singing halls, and dance floors—making it a great leisure spot suitable for all ages.
