University Presidents' Hall

The University Presidents' Hall serves as a patriotic education base.

The Meizhou University Presidents' Hall is located within the Hakka Park in Meizhou City, Guangdong Province. Covering a land area of 525 square meters and a construction area of 1,050 square meters, it is a traditional Hakka-style residential building constructed in the 1940s, featuring a two-courtyard, two-story, brick-and-concrete structure with two wings. The hall mainly introduces and displays the life stories, academic achievements, and major contributions of university presidents (and party secretaries) from Meizhou who have come from both within China and abroad since the late Qing Dynasty. It is divided into eight major sections with 24 exhibition rooms: Marshal Ye Jianying and Education, Presidents Who Are Academicians, Presidents of Renowned Universities, Presidents of Regular Institutions, Presidents of Party Schools and Cadre Training Institutions, Presidents of Adult Education Institutions, Presidents of Institutions in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Overseas, and A Brief History of the Development of Education in Meizhou. A total of 228 university presidents (and party secretaries) are exhibited, including 103 principals, 83 vice-principals, 10 academicians who are presidents, 12 presidents of party schools and cadre training institutions, and 19 presidents of adult education institutions.
