The Meizhou Revolutionary History Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism site and a patriotic education base.

The Meizhou Revolutionary History Memorial Hall is located within Jianying Park in downtown Meizhou. Established by the Meizhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Meizhou Municipal People's Government, the memorial was built to commemorate the revolutionary struggles of the people of Meizhou and to honor the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national and people’s liberation.

Meizhou is the hometown of Marshal Ye Jianying and a veteran revolutionary base area with a glorious tradition of resistance. Throughout its long revolutionary journey, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the people of Meizhou fought bravely and made successive sacrifices along an arduous yet illustrious path of struggle. On this hallowed land, great proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation—including Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Chen Yi, Luo Ronghuan, Nie Rongzhen, and Ye Jianying—left their footprints in revolutionary activities. The Northern Expeditionary Army launched two Eastern Expeditions here, the Nanchang Uprising forces on August 1st fought here, and the Zhu-Mao Red Fourth Army also engaged in battle here, achieving indelible historical feats.

Covering a site area of 4,560 square meters with a total floor space of 1,560 square meters, the Meizhou Revolutionary History Memorial Hall is a flat-roofed building with glazed tiles, designed in a modern garden style. The hall contains five exhibition rooms, with a total display line stretching 252 meters. It is divided into four sections: "The Founding of the Party and the Great Revolution Period," "The Agrarian Revolutionary War Period," "The Anti-Japanese War Period," and "The Liberation War Period." Centered around the activities of the Meizhou local organization of the Communist Party of China, the exhibitions prominently showcase the revolutionary struggle history of the people of Meizhou, highlighting key figures, major events, and important revolutionary sites from the 1911 Revolution to the nationwide liberation. A total of more than 680 historical photos, charts, and other materials are displayed, along with 290 revolutionary relics. The memorial also features a dedicated room commemorating Meizhou’s revolutionary martyrs, inscribing the names of 4,563 martyrs (including 13 from the 1911 Revolution to the May Fourth Movement period; 3,705 from the Great Revolution and Agrarian Revolutionary War periods; 126 from the Anti-Japanese War period; and 670 from the Liberation War period).

The Meizhou Revolutionary History Memorial Hall serves as an important base for patriotic education and the promotion of the glorious traditions of revolution in Meizhou.
