Damaoji Tomb

Damaoji Tomb is a cultural tourism attraction.

Damaoji Tomb is located in the eastern suburbs of Meijiang District, Meizhou City. It was excavated in 1955. The tomb is a rectangular brick chamber with a vaulted ceiling, measuring 4.38 meters in length, 1.74 meters in width, and 0.86 meters in height. A brick wall divides the interior into left and right chambers, connected by lattice windows, while the tomb floor is paved with herringbone-patterned bricks. A flat-brick altar is built at the front of the tomb chamber, and the entrance is sealed with bricks arranged in a pattern of three horizontal and one vertical. The tomb contains both yellow and gray bricks, with square grid and leaf patterns impressed on the front. Burial objects include celadon bowls, plates, cups, spittoons, basins, and an iron dagger.
