The Ancestral Hall of the Huang Family at the Former Examination Courtyard, South Gate, is a Meizhou Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

The Ancestral Hall of the Huang Family at the Former Examination Courtyard, South Gate, is located at No. 13, Former Examination Courtyard, South Gate, Jinshan Subdistrict, Meijiang District, Meizhou City. Dating back to the Qing Dynasty, it is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

On June 29, 2016, the Meizhou Municipal People's Government designated the Ancestral Hall of the Huang Family at the Former Examination Courtyard, South Gate, as part of the fourth batch of Meizhou Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Units.

Jinshan Subdistrict:  Jinshan Subdistrict is under the jurisdiction of Meijiang District, Meizhou City. It was newly established following the merger of the former Jinshan Subdistrict, Dongshan Subdistrict, and Dongjiao Town, in accordance with Document No. 91 issued by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. It was officially inaugurated on August 14 of the previous year, as announced by the district committee. The subdistrict borders Xiyang Town of Meixian District to the east, connects with Xijiao Subdistrict to the west, faces the Meijiang River to the south, and adjoins Chengdong Town of Meixian County to the north.
