Introduction　　The Valley of the Queens is similar to the Valley of the Kings, consisting of a series of underground tombs. The difference is that these are not the burial sites of pharaohs, but rather the tombs of queens, royal consorts, and other members of the royal family from the 19th and 20th dynasties. The main attraction in the Valley of the Queens is the wall paintings inside the tombs, the most unique of which is the tomb of Queen Nefertari (Nefertari Temple), which was only opened to the public in 1995.

Introduction

The main attraction in the Valley of the Queens is the wall paintings inside the tombs, the most unique of which is the tomb of Queen Nefertari (Nefertari Temple), which was only opened to the public in 1995. Nefertari is regarded as the most beautiful queen in Egyptian history and was the favorite consort of Pharaoh Ramses II. The tomb is covered in murals depicting the royal couple together. To protect the site, only 150 visitors are allowed per day, with no more than 10 people inside at one time and a maximum stay of 15 minutes.
