Kibale National Park

Kibale National Park is located in western Uganda, Africa, approximately 320 kilometers west of the country's capital, Kampala, and borders Queen Elizabeth National Park. Established in 1993, it was mainly set up to preserve the area’s tropical rainforest. Covering an area of 776 square kilometers, it is one of Uganda’s most popular destinations for ecotourism and safari adventures.

The park boasts over 250 plant species, giving it an overall lush green appearance that immediately evokes a sense of vitality upon entry. Within the dense forests, colorful wildflowers, fluttering butterflies, and bird nests high in the trees add splashes of color to the greenery, contributing to the park’s harmony and liveliness. Kibale National Park is home to 335 species of birds and more than 10 species of primates, many of which are rare and endangered. Protecting these animals is one of the park’s key missions.
