Casela Bird Park

Casela Bird Park is located in the Black River District of Mauritius, covering an area of over 10 hectares. Established in 1979, it is a kingdom of the avian world and the best place in Mauritius to observe birds. The park houses over 2,500 birds from 160 species and 21 families, including rare species such as the South American macaw, toucan, pink flamingo, red-crowned crane, and crested pigeon. There is also an exhibition room featuring bird specimens from around the world, where you can see the endangered Mauritian pink pigeon. In addition, the park includes an aquarium and is home to animals such as tigers, leopards, lemurs, turtles, and small kangaroos.
