Last updated 2026-11-08 — The 20th China (Beijing) International RV & Camping Exhibition and the 25th China International RV & Camping Congress, originally scheduled to be held from March 11–16, 2020, at RV World · Beijing RV Expo Center, have been postponed.

In recent years, the Constance Hotels & Resorts group has continuously led innovation in the field of sustainable tourism, perfectly blending luxury with ecology. Upholding its commitment to premium service alongside environmental protection, the group has made remarkable contributions to eco-tourism in the Indian Ocean and beyond.

Practicing Eco-Friendliness, Creating Limitless Possibilities
Hailing from the Indian Ocean, the Constance Hotels & Resorts group is not only dedicated to providing guests with luxurious experiences but also takes environmental stewardship to heart. Over the years, the group has implemented numerous eco-initiatives, including significantly reducing plastic consumption (such as banning plastic straws) and launching mangrove reforestation programs. Its self-contained water recycling system desalinates and filters seawater for reuse—such as for toilets and kitchens—achieving self-sufficiency.
The group has also consistently emphasized the procurement of local agricultural products and has begun developing its own organic gardens. Produce grown in these gardens increasingly makes its way onto guests’ plates.
Beyond the hotels themselves, guests are also becoming more environmentally conscious. Many have even joined the Constance eco-program, becoming partners in the group’s green initiatives.

A Sustainable Hospitality Philosophy Delivers Unique Guest Experiences
In addition to leading by example in environmental protection, the group has also integrated sustainability into its hospitality approach.
The group has established a network of naturalists and biologists dedicated to protecting marine life and endangered species (such as giant tortoises and sea turtles). Guests are invited to participate in related activities during their stay to learn about local flora and fauna, fostering greater environmental awareness.
Nestled on several paradisiacal Indian Ocean islands, Constance Hotels employs these human-centric practices to offer guests not only the purity of the natural surroundings but also an enhanced sense of environmental ownership—delivering a truly unique experience.
Commitment to environmental protection is also at the core of Constance’s “True by Nature” philosophy, seamlessly combining high-end service with the preservation of biodiversity.
Environmental Initiatives Across Constance Hotels
A Robinson Crusoe Experience in Madagascar
Constance Tsarabanjina, located on the northwest coast of Madagascar, boasts prime conditions to rank among the world’s best eco-resort destinations. Its uniquely remote setting features traditional thatched-roof architecture and crystal-clear waters. All villas are constructed using locally sourced materials. Here, guests can enjoy an authentic connection with nature: diving into transparent waters to gaze at rarely seen marine life or strolling barefoot along sun-kissed, powdery beaches.

Locals also take part in the hotel’s eco-efforts. Biologist Elena works to protect seabeds, advises local fishermen, and plays an active role in improving daily life in nearby village communities.
Natural Beauty in the Seychelles Archipelago
Constance Lemuria, situated on Praslin Island in the Seychelles, has launched a sea turtle management program to protect local turtle populations. The initiative primarily focuses on the beaches surrounding the resort. Dr. Jenna Mortimer (a Seychellois scientist and sea turtle conservation expert) and Robert Massonby (Sea Turtle Manager) oversee the protection of adult turtles, hatchlings, and eggs.

The resort minimizes artificial lighting to prevent light pollution that could deter adult turtles from coming ashore to nest. Nests on the beach are carefully protected to guard against predators. Once the hatchlings emerge, staff assist them in making their way to the ocean. As a result, guests often spot numerous turtle nests along Constance Lemuria’s beaches.
At Constance Moofushi on Mahé Island in the Seychelles, the resort prioritizes eco-friendly and energy-efficient products. It encourages and assists in eco-conscious design and the use of environmentally labeled products. Bulk purchasing is favored to reduce packaging waste. The resort also promotes local cuisine, entertainment, and culture, offering guests eco-friendly souvenirs produced on-site.
Crystal Lagoons in the Maldives
Constance Halaveli and Constance Moofushi, two secluded retreats located in the North Ari Atoll and the southern part of the Maldives respectively, are also committed to the group’s sustainability pledge and have taken action on multiple fronts. The restaurants at both resorts follow sustainable principles and techniques, using organic produce from their own gardens whenever possible. They are also working extensively to minimize waste and improve energy efficiency. Throughout this process, the Constance Hotels & Resorts group demonstrates a strong sense of social responsibility and involves local communities as much as possible in resort operations.
Rich Biodiversity in Mauritius
Constance Prince Maurice is enveloped by lush tropical greenery, surrounded by extensive local mangrove vegetation and fish sanctuaries, and home to many unique wildlife species found nowhere else on the island of Mauritius. The resort was created to encourage exploration of this natural treasure.
The Mauritius Coast Directory collaborates with NGOs to provide free guidebooks to visitors, helping them learn about the wildlife and plants around Constance Prince Maurice.

“Our environmental commitment dates back to 2013 when we adopted the strategy of joining the Green Globe certification program.” Since then, we have taken numerous measures to protect the natural environment, resulting in a significant 14% reduction in energy consumption. We are now working on another eco-project aimed at reducing carbon emissions,” said Christophe Plantier, General Manager of Constance Prince Maurice.
Recently, six Constance Group hotels received Green Globe certification for the sixth consecutive year (Mauritius: Constance Belle Mare Plage and Constance Prince Maurice; Seychelles: Constance Ephelia and Constance Lemuria; Maldives: Constance Halaveli and Constance Moofushi).
Established over 20 years ago by the tourism industry, Green Globe is a leading global sustainability program. It aims to help businesses enhance their economic, social, and environmental sustainability while recognizing and rewarding their efforts.
“We are taking every possible measure to protect the environments where our hotels are located. Constance Hotels are not only committed to environmental issues but also recognize our responsibility as a hotel group in safeguarding the planet,” said Jean-Jacques Vallet, CEO of the Constance Hotels & Resorts group. “The well-being of our guests is our top priority, but Constance Hotels & Resorts will continue to adhere to environmental regulations and standards, and remain dedicated to environmental protection and sustainability—for the good of the Earth we all share.”
