The Premier Manor of North China’s Frontier — Manduo Mountain Villa — is famed for its rustic and beautiful frontier scenery and abundant historical and cultural wonders. It features a variety of natural attractions such as mountains, lakes, deserts, forests, and grasslands, as well as historical relics from the Liao and Yuan dynasties. It is a comprehensive, multi-functional tourist resort that integrates modern elements with the ethnic culture of the northern grasslands, providing dining, accommodation, travel, entertainment, shopping, fitness, and group conference facilities all in one.

Manduo Mountain Villa, known as the Premier Manor of North China’s Frontier, is located in Hexigten Banner (Jingpeng Town), Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Hexigten Banner lies in the northwest of Chifeng City, bordering Linxi County and Ongniud Banner to the east, Songshan District of Chifeng City and Weichang County of Hebei Province to the south, Duolun County and Zhenglan Banner of Xilin Gol League to the west, and close to Xilinhot City and Xi Ujimqin Banner of Xilin Gol League. It is 286 kilometers away from Chifeng City.

Manduo Mountain Villa gets its name from the nearby Manduo Mountain, where “Manduo” means a place where immortals reside. According to the History of Yuan: “In the 24th year of Zhiyuan (1287), when the Mongolian Nayan tribe rebelled, Emperor Shizu Kublai Khan personally led his troops in a military campaign. Passing through this area, he stayed overnight at Yingchang. That night, a Buddha appeared atop the mountain, manifesting a golden body, vivid yet ethereal... As a result, Buddhist rituals were conducted for seven days and nights.”

Manduo Mountain Villa is celebrated for its rustic and beautiful frontier scenery and rich historical and cultural wonders. The area features a variety of natural landscapes including mountains, lakes, deserts, and forests.

As well as grassland vistas, there are also historical relics from the Liao and Yuan dynasties. To the east lies the Gongger Grassland, to the south the Little Tengger Desert, to the west shrubbery forests, and to the north is Lake Dalinor, one of Inner Mongolia’s four most famous lakes.

Manduo Mountain Villa combines mountains, lakes, deserts, grasslands, and shrubbery forests to create a unique natural wonder. With the villa as the center, 6 kilometers to the east are the ruins of the Yuan Dynasty’s Longxing Temple and the Jingfan Shuiyun Cave; 15 kilometers to the west are the ruins of the Northern Yuan capital, the Luwang Palace; and 15 kilometers to the north are historic sites such as Genghis Khan’s Fortress. The mountaintop scenery of Manduo Mountain is even more extraordinary, with towering rocks that are strikingly lifelike, creating a blend of reality and illusion. There are over twenty scenic spots including the Manduo Giant Buddha, Zhu Bajie Asking the Heavens, Zhang Fei Guarding the Pass, Immortal’s Boots, and Shuiyun Cave, all of which captivate visitors.

The site has now been developed into a comprehensive tourist resort that fuses modern style with the ethnic charm of the northern grasslands, integrating dining, accommodation, travel, entertainment, shopping, fitness, and group conference facilities.

Entertainment options: horseback sightseeing, camel riding tours, archery, bird-watching, viewing the sunrise and sunset on the grassland, water games, fishing, rock appreciation, exploration, outdoor bonfires, and ethnic song and dance performances.

Living service area: mainly offers ethnic cuisine, Chinese food, and fast food; the reception capacity is up to 200 people per meal. There are guest rooms of various grades as well as couple suites, Mongolian yurts, forest cabins, a luxury ballroom, gym, and bathing facilities.
