Golden Lane
Introduction: Golden Lane is located between St. George's Basilica and the Toy Museum within Prague Castle. It is a commercial street selling handicrafts and is as bustling as the Charles Bridge. During the Roman Empire in the 16th century, many metallurgists lived here, and later this cobbled street came to be known as Golden Lane. The alley is small, with all buildings being tiny and brightly colored, resembling the dwellings of elves in a fairy-tale kingdom. House No. 22, a turquoise house, was the home of Franz Kafka over a hundred years ago and now serves as a small bookstore. It is one of the most famous attractions in Prague.
