The origins of Tallinn date back to the 13th century, beginning when a knight from the Teutonic Order discovered this castle, which later developed into a major hub of the Hanseatic League.

The Historic Centre of Tallinn takes pride in its vibrant public buildings, especially the churches, as well as the interiors of its shops. The city’s cathedral has retained its Gothic style despite continuous modifications.
